The Place After visiting Togi Korean Restaurant, I am determined to find another equally authentic Korean restaurant and have heard some rave reviews for Red Pig Korean Restaurant from different sources. Located along Amoy Street near the busy Central Business District of Singapore, Red Pig Korean Restaurant is a humble Korean barbeque restaurant run by Koreans and it prides itself as serving the best Red Pig barbeque meat.
There is no fanciful decoration at Red Pig Restaurant which is also precisely the reason it makes me feel at home when I stepped into the restaurant.
The Food For a start, I tried the Kimchi Ramen ($10) which I feel is average. This is definitely a dish which can be missed at Red Pig Restaurant.
The highlight of the meal is undoubtedly the Red Pig ($20) meat. The meat is very well marinated and the unique taste of the pork is something I have never tasted before in my life.
In terms of the service, I think it is pretty attentive as the staff comes over to our table periodically to help with the barbeque of the meat.
Other than the Red Pig meat, we also ordered the Red Chicken ($18) barbeque meat which is marinated in soy sauce. The chicken is well marinated as well to give a tasty flavour. If there is only one barbeque meat to choose from, I will strongly recommend the signature Red Pig meat instead.
Our meal is complete with the standard complimentary Korean side dishes such as kimchi, cold beancurd, mushrooms and vegetables.
Rants Prices are on the steep side and may not seem as value for money as compared to Togi Korean Restaurant.
Will I return again? With so many Korean restaurants in Singapore and more upcoming ones in the future, I would need more reasons to be back at Red Pig Restaurant other than its signature Red Pig meat.
