Food Review: L’entrecote Express
The Place If I were to think of Steak Frites, the first to come to my mind would be L’entrecote. Finally there are plans to open more branches other than the restaurant in Duxton Hill, in the form of L’entrecote Express. L’entrecote Express is easy to miss in Pacific Plaza as it shares the same space as &Made. We have the option of having anything from the &Made or the L’entrecote Express menu, sounds like the best of both worlds.
The Food Similar to L’entrecote, there is only one mains on the menu – L’entrecote Steak. For a start, we had the complimentary bread and salad.
The only mains on the menu is non other than the L’entrecote Steak ($29.90). The unique selling proposition of the steak has got to be its home made recipe sauce, which delivers the succulent steak flawlessly. Just a suggestion on the fries, can we have it truffled? That would be perfecto.
For desserts, we tried the Half Baked Chocolate Cake (14) which was quite disappointing sadly. I was expecting the chocolate lava to ooze gracefully but it did not. The only saving grace is the Vanilla ice-cream.
Rants Service can definitely be much better. I have to rant on the bad timing our dishes are served. Our steak orders were served when we were barely done with our salad and bread. In the end, we have to struggle with an over-crammed table.
Will I return again? The French bistro ambience is seriously lacking in this Pacific Plaza branch. I am missing the Duxton Hill L’entrecote and would return to that branch any time.
