Food Review: Sunday Folks | Soft-serve ice-cream in Chip Bee Gardens

The Place Chip Bee Gardens definitely has a vibe that Holland Village does not. It exudes more exclusivity and yet a more chilled vibe. Just like the way Sunday Folks is. A version 2.0 of Creamier, this outlet spots a different name and more importantly, more seating capacity as compared to its sister outlet. Again donning their simple white walls, with touch of brown and black colours around, this dessert place gives its sweet tooth seekers a relaxing vibe.

The Food That’s what we are all here for. Creamier brought us one of the best Gelato and this have definitely raise our hopes on their rendition of Soft Serve ice cream. They kept their popular flavours (thankfully) such as the Roasted Pistachio and Sea Salt Gula Melaka, and continue to have the ice cream served on top of their well-baked waffles!

What else to order other than to try their Waffles with Roasted Pistachio ($10.50) – you can match any of their Soft Serve with their waffles! tRP must say Creamier does it again – with Sunday Folks! The Soft Serve gives a very different texture to the flavour, which is less dense and creamy when compared to the gelato version. That said, it matched really well with the waffles….. drooling!

You can choose any of the toppings as you like, with selections such as dark chocolates, mochi-look alike candies and even fresh fruits – all at $1.50 a pop! Take your pick as with your mood of the day!

We just had to lay out taste buds on our favourite Sea Salt Gula Melaka ($6.90), and there were no regrets at all. In fact, this taste really well with the waffles as well! Adding, if ice cream ain’t your thing, Sunday Folks do serve some gorgeous cakes and even Cider as well.

Rants We waited 45 minutes for our orders to be served. Not joking. Is it really worth it?

Will I Return Again? For our first time, I would say I didn’t quite mind the long wait. But for my repeat visits, I can’t be sure. Be there once and judge for yourself, you may love Sunday Folks enough to wait for it again. Or you may not.
