What’s the catch: Triple Three restaurant at Mandarin Orchard Singapore has just launched the Great Big American Buffet for only two weeks from 9 to 26 April. Triple Three is one of the most popular hotel buffets in Singapore in my opinion, and it is nice to see that the spreads at the buffet has changed significantly from my last visit. I was lucky to witness the completion of the largest hamburger in Singapore as part of the grand launch of the first day of the Great Big American Buffet, where over 60 kg of beef, 100 whole eggs, 15 kg of flour and 5kg of onions were used to make the 82cm by 40cm (~more than 100kg), certified by the Singapore Book of Records.
What to expect: As part of the American theme buffet, fresh ingredients from the US are flown for the added American buffet spread, such as Boston Lobster, a live slider station and grilled sausages as well as pork ribs. The range of seafood is quite amazing as well, such as the likes of freshly shucked oysters, New England clam chowder, Alaskan king crab and oven-roasted US prime beef.
When: Available only during dinner (6.30pm – 10pm) and Sunday brunch (12pm – 2.30pm) at Triple Three restaurant, Mandarin Orchard Singapore.
