Snippets: Pretty In Pink at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore – In Recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

What’s buzzing?  In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month from 1 to 31 October 2016, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore has crafted a series of dining experiences at the Rose Veranda, Lobby Court and The Line Shop to increase awareness and raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Rose Veranda will be presenting a Pink High Tea Buffet from 1 to 31 October 2016. Rose Veranda’s signature high tea buffet experience which includes highlights such as scones, tea sandwiches, cakes, a carving station, sushi and sashimi, will be further enhanced with an additional rotating selection of sweet blush-toned pastries such as Rose Macarons; Strawberry Lychee Bars; Pink Eclairs with Cream; Raspberry Cookies and Cream; Pink Guava Sago Shooters; Berry Tarts; and a Pink Chocolate Fountain.

Rose Veranda’s Pink High Tea Buffet is priced at S$52++ per adult and available Monday to Thursday from 11:30am to 6:00pm, and Friday to Sunday from 11:30am to 2:00pm (first seating), and 3:00pm to 6:00pm (second seating).

At The Line Shop, Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé Potus extends his support of Breast Cancer Awareness by crafting a new limited edition Strawberry Yuzu Thought Cake, heart-shaped and decorated with a pink chocolate Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon. The Thought Cake is strawberry flavoured with vanilla sponge and frosted with a cloud of yuzu cream and delicate lemon caviar.

The Strawberry Yuzu Thought Cakes are priced at S$38nett each and S$3.80 per cake sold will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation.  This will be available for collection from the Cake Collection Booth in the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore lobby daily from 1 to 31 October 2016; pre-orders are available from 15 August 2016.

At Lobby Court, the Three Tier Pink Afternoon Tea highlights include pink confectionaries and savoury delicacies such as Rose Petal Bun filled with Crab; Duck Parfait with Pink Guava Chutney on Brioche; Pink Crepes with Avocado, Smoked Salmon and Lettuce; Raspberry Scones with Clotted Cream and Guava and Strawberry Jams; Pink Cupcakes and Strawberry Lemon Truffles.

The Three Tier Pink Afternoon Tea is priced at $42++ per person and guests will also enjoy unlimited pours of their choice of coffee or tea. This will be available at Lobby Court from 3:00pm to 5:30pm from 1 to 31 October 2016.
