Hotel Review: Parkroyal On Beach Road, Singapore Staycation | Beautiful Revamped Club Premier Room
The Hotel I have previously stayed on the Parkroyal On Beach Road back in 2016 and the hotel has definitely undergone a successful revamp as seen in my recent stay. While the facade of the building has not changed much, the hotel lobby spots a refreshed contemporary look which is welcoming.
The Room I checked into the Club Premier Room which boasts a beautiful city view from the private balcony. At 42sqm, the interior is tastefully done and is a successful transformation from the room I stayed few years ago.
I love the wooden parquet floor, and the balcony is also my favourite spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and the city view.
The bathroom spots a luxurious marble finishing with separate rain shower and bathtub. The rain shower is very spacious, and one other feature of the bathroom is the filtered drinking water. This also brings me to the point where no bottled water is provided in all rooms on the hotel’s part to stay green. In short, bring your own bottle for your stay here.
The hotel is currently running a “Simply Yours: The Exclusive Couples Retreat” package with emphasis on exploring the different facets of Singaporean culture and heritage. Priced from SGD280++ per night, it includes:
- 2D1N stay in a PARKROYAL Club room
- One bottle of house wine (per room per stay)
- Daily breakfast at Ginger, refreshments and evening cocktails on wheels for two persons served for enjoyment in the comfort of your room
- Daily curated Local Experience Workshops led by our in-house Culinary Masters*
- Pan Pacific Cares Pack (hand sanitiser, face mask & sanitised wipes)
- Guaranteed late check-out till 4:00pm for guests checking-out from Mondays to Wednesdays
- 20% savings on in-room dining
- 20% savings on a la carte treatments at St. Gregory spa
- Access to dedicated Wellness Floor with usage of gym and outdoor swimming pool
- Internet access and parking
Access to the Parkroyal Club lounge is temporarily unavailable, and Club breakfast, refreshments and evening cocktails are currently served via in-room dining service for all Club guests.
The Restaurants The popular Chinese restaurant brand Si Chuan Dou Hua is located on level one, with Tian Fu Tea Room within.
Club 5 is the revamped bar concept of the property which I have checked out previously.
Ginger is the buffet breakfast which spots a floral and beautiful garden interior. This is also the space for breakfast for most hotel guests.
The Facilities Head to level four for wellness like the pool with a view of the city. Note that the depth of the pool goes beyond 2m at some points!
I also had my workout at the gym, which is spacious with a good number of treadmill machines and well-equipped weights corner.
During my stay, I also managed to check out St. Gregory spa, which offers some of the finest Asian treatments. The spa does exude that Balinese vibe, from the reception area to the treatment rooms.
Rants There are three elevators to the rooms, though they are quite small and can comfortably accommodate only four persons. The current breakfast selection is also quite limited, so this shouldn’t be a highlight for your stay here.
Overall Experience It is great to see a positive revamp in this property and while it does not have the architectural aesthetic like Parkroyal Collection Pickering or Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, it is not too bad for a weekend staycation.
