The Place If you love Wanton Noodles, you have probably heard of Zhenguang Hollywood Wantan Noodles located in Haig Road Market & Cooked Food Centre. I joined the queue at this stall one weekend and learnt that it has been around for more than five decades, previously located in the now-demolished Hin Hollywood canteen which used to be where Kinex Mall is today. 

The stall is located at the nearest row in the food centre closest to Kinex Mall, and it spots an old school looking signboard managed by an old couple. 

The Food Other than Wanton Noodles which starts from S$3, the stall also serves Laksa, Dumpling Noodles and Chicken Feet Noodles. I had the S$3 Wanton Noodles which comes with slices of char siew, wanton soup and I also ordered an extra side of Fried Wantons. 

The texture of the noodles is springy, and it is also slightly thicker than the usual. Tossed in soy sauce along with some chilli for me, the overall flavour is delicious. 

It is quite an old school flavour, where the char siew is tender and mainly lean meat. I do prefer my char siew to be a little fattier and more charred. 

The fried wantons are delicious! Fried to a nice golden and crispy texture, the small size also makes it easy to pop into your mouth. 

The bowl of wanton soup is decent, though not the most outstanding part of my meal.

Will I Return Again? Good old school wanton noodles in the east, this is one wanton mee stall to check out in Haig Road if you are craving for one.
