Food Review: Kiasu Espresso [CLOSED]

The Place Located right at the entrance of 100AM, this small cafe is yet another creation under Food Collective by Spa Esprit Group. Well located within the Central Business District, this cafe caters pretty much to the office crowd on weekdays and shoppers to the mall during the weekends. The small size of the cafe, coupled with the not-so-comfortable seats, is definitely not an ideal place for as a chill-lax hangout. tRP must admit though, if the cafe is located nearer to the Raffles Place area – where we slog it out in our day jobs, we would probably be glad to include this as one of our favourite “take-away” coffee hunts!

The Food The Coffee is by Forty Hands and the Pastry mainly by Tiong Bahru Bakery, am not sure what could go wrong hereIMG_1525Since July’13, Kiasu Espresso introduced a ‘Set Meal’ that includes the Kiasu Bun and a Regular-sized Coffee for only S$8.50. Quite worth the price, especially since the Bun (which is better described as a Gourmet Burger) really taste good! The brioche bun is from Tiong Bahru Bakery, topped with gourmet ham, fresh tomato and melted cheddar – frankly, it is quite heavenly. Soft, juicy, refreshing and most importantly light enough to go with a hot skinny latte. Sounds perfect for a simple breakfast to kick off a day and equally good for a quick lunch during  a hectic working day?

IMG_1535Rants Why stop at one? Considering the small retail space, would love to have a couple more Kiasu Espresso outlets around town, for the ‘earliest birds in town’ to grab a good cuppa!IMG_1531Will i return again? If tRP is in the vicinity, definitely.
