Food Review: One-Ninety at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

The Place I have been trying so many restuarants the past few years but when it comes to my birthday meal, I am often at a hopeless loss. I remembered that Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has a pretty well acclaimed semi-lunch buffet, which brings me here this year for my belated birthday meal.IMG_9859The ambience is really cosy, unlike some hotels where the scene can be quite rowdy and noisy. It feels comfortable and a perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing meal. IMG_9866The Food To be honest, the spread is not fantastic like most other hotel buffets and it is whatever is on the three tables. That said, there is something for everyone, from Japanese Sushi to Roasted Duck to Salad and Smoked Salmon. It is more of quailty over variety here, and the main reason I wanted to eat here is the semi-lunch buffet style, which means that I have a choice of a mains as well from the menu. At $48++, I think the price is fairly reasonable given that it includes a choice of a mains from the menu below.IMG_9835IMG_9856IMG_9853IMG_9848IMG_9858IMG_9844IMG_9841IMG_9839My choice of the mains is no doubt the Rangers Valley Wagyu Rump Steak with roasted jerusalum artichoke. It is serve in my favourite presentation on a board. The steak is succulently juicy, medium rare, goes perfectly with the truffle jus. IMG_9868The desserts spread has some really good options, such as the Creme Brulee and Red Velvet cake.IMG_9873Quality of the buffet is also evident in the choice of TWG tea, as well as latte or cappucinio.IMG_9875Rants It will be perfect if there is slightly more variety, such as sashimi or even mushroom soup.

Will I return again? The service I had was one of the most immaculate I have ever experienced in Singapore. It is rare that a restaurant manager drop by my table four times during the course of my dining and explain each and every dish on the buffet table to me and provide her personal recommendations. I was truly impressed by the restaurant manager (I am sorry I failed to remember her name) and this is the kind of service standard we should see in our restaurants. Will totally return for the good food and service!
