Hotel Review: 10 Reasons why Pan Pacific Singapore’s Harbour Suite is the ultimate dream Staycation experience

I was lucky to enjoy a staycation in one of my favourite hotels in Singapore. When I knew that I was going to check in to one of the most prestigious suites in Pan Pacific Singapore, it was a rather unimaginable feeling. There are only three Harbour Suite rooms in the hotel, which is one room grade below the Presidential Suite. The below are 10 reasons why I feel this is the ultimate staycation experience you can get in Singapore.

1. Enjoy a private check-in experience

From the moment I stepped into the cosy lobby, there is a private check-in room, exclusively for hotel suite guests. It was a very personalised service, with a well-trained service staff explaining every important detail I need to know about my stay. Information on Pacific Club privileges is definitely very useful, which hotel suite guests get to enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions to the friendly staff as they are very knowledgeable. After the administrative process is done, I was escorted by the service staff to my Harbour Suite. It was surely an exciting ride up the elevator as it ascended to the top level of the hotel for guest rooms, level 35.

2. Amazing size of the Harbour Suite Room

At 121sqm (1,302 sq-ft), the Harbour Suite Room features an expansive bedroom with king-sized bed, spacious living area adjoined to a dining room, as well as round-the-clock club service, and access to Pacific Club. There is also round-the-clock butler service, complimentary breakfast and all-day refreshments, complimentary soft drinks from the in-room mini bar and laundry/pressing service for up to two garments per day. Talk about well-being, I was totally pampered throughout my stay.

The spacious living room is perfect for hosting guests, with a full pane window of the city view, in-built Bose sound system, work desk, dining table and sofa set. This is like a condominium, not a hotel room.

Walking into the bedroom, it is difficult not to fall in love with the space. The balcony which comes with the room was so inviting, I stepped out for the splendid city view countless times at various times of the day.

3. The Harbour Suite room amenities

I was surprised by the mini kitchen with the suite if you ever decide to do some light cooking. All the non-alcoholic beverages from the in-room mini bar is complimentary.

Needless to say, I had a few cups of Nespresso from the in-room Nespresso coffee machine.

4. The million-dollar view

With a panoramic view of the skyline and waterfront, the view at level 35 of the Harbour Suite Room is unrivalled. Waking up to such a beautiful view of Singapore is quite like a dream as well, given that this is hardly an everyday affair. I was lucky to stay on one Saturday which is coincidentally the National Day Parade rehearsal, which is almost a no brainer for me to stay in my room in the evening for the fireworks. The amazing size of the balcony is the perfect spot to view the fireworks, all in the comfort of the room to take in the unobstructed view.

And a sunrise view to wake up to.

5. Access to the exclusive Pacific Club

Pacific Club is probably one of the nicest club lounges I have been in a hotel. With a 360 panoramic view of Singapore at level 38 of the hotel, also the highest level of Pan Pacific Singapore, Pacific Club Rooms and Suites guests get to access this exclusive club lounge at anytime of the day.

There are two private dining rooms within Pacific Club. There is complimentary use of Pacific Club private dining rooms for up to two hours with prior reservation.

6. Savour High-tea buffet at Pacific Club

From 3 to 5pm, Pacific Club guests get to enjoy the high-tea buffet spread, with unlimited coffee, tea and freshly squeezed fruit juice. The spread is not extensive, but definitely enough to fill the tummy. I enjoyed the Chilli Crab Bun most.

The service at Pacific Club is polished with a personal touch, kudos to the well-trained service staff as it made my experience a very comfortable one. I couldn’t resist ordering the Cappuccino with the special SG50 latte art.

7. Unlimited Champagne, cocktail and alcoholic beverages at Pacific Club during sunset

After the satisfying high-tea buffet, before my tummy could recover, it was already the Sunset cocktails hour. From 6pm to 8pm, there is free flow cocktails, champagne and canapés. The ambience is amazing, especially with a sunset view of Singapore while relishing the food and booze.

8. Be spoilt for choice for breakfast the next day

Part of the Pacific Club privileges include either the Champagne breakfast at Pacific Club or buffet breakfast at Edge, from 6:00am to 10:30am or in-room dining breakfast. It was tough deciding which option to enjoy as each promises a different experience. Edge has a wide spread, in-room dining has its comfort and privacy merits, while the Pacific Club offers a smaller buffet spread with a view.

I opted for the Pacific Club eventually as I have been to Edge a couple of times. I am also not a heavy breakfast person so the concise spread at Pacific Club fits me. The highlight for me is the live eggs station, where you get to choose from the likes of Truffle Scambled Eggs, Fresh Toast and Pancakes. Of course, the best part of breakfast for me is always coffee, so do not hesitate to enjoy some nice cappuccino or latte. Coffee aside, you can also order fresh juices from the bar.

9. 5-star facilities at Pan Pacific Singapore

A nice hotel stay is incomplete without the well-maintained facilities within the hotel premises for guests. I enjoyed my workout at the well-equipped gym, while the pool is certainly inviting as well on a sunny day. Of course, there is the usual spa and massage if you fancy one. I am happy with keeping fit my own way. If you need a bite in the course of your stay, I will also highly recommend the award winning Edge buffet, Hai Tien Lo or Keyaki for a nice and satisfying meal.

10. It was a dream, with a late check-out included.

Late check-out until 2:00pm. Nuff said.
