With the year end approaching, Hai Tien Lo (海天楼) at Pan Pacific Singapore will be launching its new Winter Solstice Festival menus that will be available for lunch and dinner from 1 to 26 December 2014.
There will be two prix-fixe menus, the six-course Bamboo menu at $392 for four guests, and the seven-course Pine menu at $720 for six guests. Expect to savour dishes such as the Mini Yu Sheng complete with succulent Lobster, Salmon, Shredded Jelly Fish and fragrant Crispy Fish Skin, as well as the Braised Classic Whole Abalone with Goose Webs and Bean Curd.
For us, the epitome of celebrating Winter Solstice is definitely to have the traditional Tang Yuan, which is available in this special Winter Solstice menu with Chinese Dessert Soup. To further tantalise the taste buds, there is a choice of pairing your Tang Yuan with Almond Cream, Black Sesame Soup or Purple Sweet Potato Soup.
