Food Review: Sea & Blue at Marina Bay Sands | Korean and Continental Buffet Concept with 100 dishes! [Closed]

The Place Another new restaurant to open at Marina Bay Sands other than The Bird Southern Table & Bar (read our full review here), Sea & Blue is a Continental and Korean buffet concept which took over the now defunct Todai. We were greeted by the bright blue and white entrance and were surprised by how spacious the whole restaurant is, which seeks to give diners the feeling of dining under the ocean.

The Food There are about 100 dishes at the buffet line, with special focus on Korean cuisine though there is a wide variety of other International cuisines as well. The ingredients of the buffet spread are sourced worldwide, such as oysters from Canada, snow crab from Japan, beef from the Australia, and Kurobuta pork loin from Australia.

Expect up to ten hot and cold stations at Sea & Blue – Korean, Barbecue, Deep-Fried, Hot Dishes & Noodles, Seafood, Salads + Fruit, Pizza & Pasta, Wine & Beer, Beverages, and Dessert Bar.

Some of the more memorable dishes I tried  from the buffet line include the pork belly in spicy gojuchang marinade from the Korean live station, sashimi and sushi from the Seafood station and the crispy suckling pig from the Hot Dishes & Noodles.

For desserts, there is DIY Korean Bingsoo and waffles amidst other sweet treats like cakes and ice cream. The buffet also includes free-flow drinks such as soft drinks, coffee and tea.

Prices at Sea & Blue are between S$42++ to S$64++ for adults during lunch, and S$58++ to S$68++ for dinner. Children dine at S$22++ to S$26++ at lunch and S$26++ at dinner.

Rants It is challenging to maintain a consistently good quality across so many dishes. For instance, we didn’t enjoy the Oven Roasted Ribeye Striploin which was too raw for our liking. Skip the local dishes which are less calories worthy.

Will I Return Again? If you are looking for a buffet option in Marina Bay Sands, Sea & Blue is a decent option. The spread is wide, while the quality is fairly decent given the huge spread. For Korean food lovers, this is one buffet you will likely enjoy.

This was an invited tasting, though all opinions expressed are our own.
