Hotel Review: Pullman Singapore Orchard Club Residence Room | First Pullman Hotels and Resorts Property Along Orchard Road In Singapore
The Hotel I was excited to check into the first Pullman hotel in Singapore this month at Pullman Singapore Orchard, located right in the heart of Orchard Road. Taking over the space of the now-defunct Grand Park Orchard, the lobby of Accor’s newest property in Singapore is located on level one and is minimalist and chic in design. In fact, there is a strong play of fashion elements in the property by virtue of its location in Orchard Road as well as a chill, play or work elements.

After a seamless check in, I proceeded to level four which is the main playground of the hotel where the outdoor pool and dining concepts are located. All guests will walk past Atelier Lounge to the lift lobby to their rooms, which exudes a homely and stylish vibe. There is also the option for online check-in where you will receive a digital key instead.

The walkway to the hotel rooms and lift lobby is playful with the ever-changing neon lights, and it does remind me of a scene from the Matrix movie.

The Room There are quite a couple of room categories in this property, and I checked into the Club Residence room. My room located on level four is relatively spacious at 32 sqm.

The room design is contemporary and stylish, where there is a semi-open concept wardrobe, a sofa couch beside the King size bed and a view of the Orchard Road shopping belt.

I love the design of the bathroom which comes with double vanity sinks, a stylish dressing table and the play of white and blue tiles from the toilet to the walk-in shower zone. Bathroom amenities by C.O. Bigelow.

It also helps that the lighting control is from a master switch which makes it easy to dim all the lights before sleeping, and I also appreciate that there is a dim auto-sensor light for the bathroom should you need to visit in the middle of the night.

As for the bed, it is quite comfortable for me as the mattress and pillows are relatively hard.

The Facilities Level four is where most of the facilities and restaurants are located, and you can find a 24/7 fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool. Alternatively, you can also request the In-Room Fitness Kit. The gym is quite basic, and it is not huge, though you still can find weights and cardio machines.

The outdoor swimming pool and P.S.O. Beach Club are connected to the fitness centre and there are a couple of sheltered sun deck chains and cabanas to laze the afternoon away.

In terms of size, it is not an Olympic length for sure, though it was fun to float around on the hotel’s pool floats.

My Club Residences comes with access to the Archive Club which is located on level four where it offers complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening social hours including alcoholic beverages and light bites, and all-day coffee and tea and private usage of boardroom.

I like the contemporary space and design of Archive Club which makes it an ideal spot to catch up on some work or simply chill over drinks.

The Restaurants The main restaurant of the hotel is the gorgeous-looking Eden Restaurant which boasts a lush glasshouse interior along with plenty of natural light in the day.

The cuisine here is modern Asian with highlights like Satay Lamb Rack, Steamed Atlantic Cod Fillet, Lime Ribeye Steak, Tuna Ceviche with Ikura, Thai Papaya Salad and others.

Breakfast takes place at Eden Restaurant where there is a good variety of International and local delights, including an order form to order your style of eggs. Freshly pressed juices in bottles are also available.

Atelier Lounge is the spot for cocktails, bar bites or coffee by Common Man Coffee Roasters, while P.S.O. Beach Club is the spot to people watch and enjoy some casual grubs, grab a drink and chill by the pool.

Rants For the Club Residences, there is a short flight of stairs down to the bed which guests need to be extra careful of, especially at night.
Overall Experience This is one property to stay especially if you are visiting Singapore and would love to stay along Orchard Road. Overall, the design of the property is modern and chic, and is a good addition to the Accor portfolio in Singapore should you be looking to clock your Accor stays or redeem points.
