Lounge Review: Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge At Incheon International Airport (ICN) | Is This The Best Star Alliance Lounge In Seoul?

The Lounge Incheon Airport has no shortage of lounges, but quality varies wildly depending on airline and alliance. Tucked away in Terminal 1, I managed to check out Singapore Airlines Incheon SilverKris Lounge located near gate 29. The lounge follows a “home away from home” concept, blending soft blues, warm neutrals, and subtle Southeast Asian elements.

There are floral accents, patterned panels near the entrance, and seating that feels residential rather than institutional.

One of the biggest draws for me is the natural light.

Floor‑to‑ceiling windows make the space feel far less claustrophobic than many airport lounges, and the layout flows logically between dining, lounging, and bar areas.

Access You can enter if you are:

  • Flying Singapore Airlines First or Business Class
  • A PPS Club member
  • A KrisFlyer Elite Gold member
  • A Star Alliance Gold member flying on a Star Alliance carrier

Eligible passengers (except those flying First/Business) may bring one guest.

The Food It is a buffet spread where the spread blends Singaporean comfort food, light Western options, and a few Korean touches. Do not expect a sprawling buffet, but do expect quality over quantity. Depending on the time of day, expect dishes like eggs, salad, curry chicken, Korean DIY-style bibimbap, and more.

The other highlight for me is of course Singaporean classic dishes where I had laksa and bak kuk teh where the dishes are located in another section of the lounge aptly named Singapore Town.

It is entirely possible to have a proper, satisfying meal here rather than a sad pre‑flight snack.

The Facilities For a lounge that is not that huge, the facilities are fairly complete.

Showers are available and well‑maintained — clean, modern, strong water pressure, and thoughtfully stocked. It is not as spacious as the ones in Changi Airport, but functional enough. My other gripe is that the mirror in the shower area could be longer and bigger.

In terms of seating, the design and configuration make the seating zones very comfortable with a few private booths for solo travellers who are looking for more privacy. Otherwise, there are also plenty of power points to power your laptop or charge your phone.

One key highlight is also the central bar which is quite the centrepiece design of the space. There is barista service to order your artisanal coffee, and a whole suite of alcohol options including champagne.

Rants As it is not a huge lounge, it can get busy especially an hour before a Singapore Airlines flight is scheduled. There are also just a few shower cubicles which might add to additional waiting time.

Overall Experience The SilverKris Lounge at Incheon isn’t trying to be the biggest or flashiest lounge at ICN — and that’s exactly why it works. Overall, I find the space well-designed and practical with strong design elements of Singapore Airlines identity. If you are flying Star Alliance out of Incheon and have access, this is one of the easiest lounge choices to make. Arrive early, eat properly, take a shower, and board feeling human again — which is really all a good airport lounge needs to do.
