Food Scoops: A Glimpse Of The New Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet At Estate Restaurant In Hilton Singapore Orchard
What’s Buzzing? I checked out the latest Sunday brunch buffet offering in town – Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet at Estate, the all-day dining restaurant of Hilton Singapore Orchard.

I have previously been here for its dinner buffet but suffice to say, the Sunday brunch buffet line is another level of extensive.

What To Expect? The restaurant space is huge, fit for 345-seater restaurant. For the Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet, expect highlights such as the Classic Beef Wellington with black truffle sauce; Maine Lobster Thermidor with brandy cream sauce, and a wide variety of seafood at the seafood station tucked away in a corner of Estate.

The seafood variety include tiger prawns, snow crabs and scallops, including three types of unlimited freshly shucked oysters – Canadian, Irish and Fine de Claire.

From the cold cut section, expect the likes of smoked and cured fishes and charcuterie, like salmon gravlax, smoked snowfish, prosciutto di Parma, Iberico ham, and a 25kg Mortadella ham that will be sliced à la minute.

Other highlights include:
- Homemade terrines like Pâté en Croûte, Foie Gras, and Scallop
- Homemade Black Truffle Pasta with cage-free 65-degree egg and Parmigiana-Reggiano
- Pan-fried Foie Gras with apple and passionfruit compote
- Whole Wagyu Prime Rib with Yorkshire pudding and bordelaise sauce
- Whole Stuffed Suckling Pig available at the live carving station
- Special Chinese, Malay, and Indian-style dishes like Hong Kong-style ‘Bi Feng Tang’ Mud Crab, Braised Pork Knuckles with Sea Cucumber, Ayam Masak Merah, Ikan Masak Asam Pedas, Kerala-style Prawns with Coconut Curry and Lamb Vindaloo
- Sushi and Sashimi
- Estate’s signature Black Truffle Roasted Duck

For desserts, there are the desserts in jars like Pistachio Paris-Brest, Exotic Tea Roll, and Lychee Rose Cake. Cakes include Triple Fermented Chocolate Cake, Black Sesame Cheesecake, Hilton Signature Cheesecake, on top of an assortment of local kuehs and Japanese mochi. My pick is the Hilton Signature Cheesecake.

If you are a cheese lover, the cheese spread here is touted as one of the city’s largest cheese offerings available on a hotel buffet, with 32 types of cheeses including soft, hard, and blue from Janier, an acclaimed five-generation French purveyor of fine cheese. On display is a variety of premium cheeses like 16-month Comté, Tomme de Savoie Fermière, Roquefort, and Bleu d’Auvergne.

In terms of pricing, the free-flow beverage package is an add-on of S$30++ more per person, and that includes free-flow Laurent Perrier Champagne, red and white wines, and access to the Do-It-Yourself cocktail bar, where you can concoct your own classic cocktails like Bloody Mary, Sangria, or Bellini, depending on what is available that day.

Overall Experience The Sunday brunch is a big step up from the weekday dinner buffet spread which I thought the latter could do with more variety. Overall, it is a good mix of various cuisines and desserts if you are looking to check out a new Sunday brunch spot.
This was an invited tasting, though all opinions expressed are our own.
