Food Review: Yan Ting At The St. Regis Singapore | A Luxe Weekend Dim Sum Brunch Buffet
The Place Yan Ting at The St. Regis Singapore has always been one of my favourite Cantonese restaurants in Singapore. I still remember that this is the restaurant I brought my family to upon receiving my first paycheck years ago. Yan Ting has not changed much all these years, still maintaining good standards in terms of food quality ambience and service.

The Food If you love dim sum, the weekend dim sum brunch buffet at Yan Ting is like a dream come true. At $168++ per person (food and Chinese tea only), there are more than sixty dishes to enjoy! It is virtually impossible to try everything unless you have a dinosaur appetite, but we reckon that it is best to come in a trio or party of four to try more dishes.
We started with the Double-boiled Abalone Consomme, Sea Whelk, a comforting bowl of soup to start which is limited to one serving per person.

Similarly, the Deep-fried Lobster, Egg Floss is also limited to one serving per person, one of the dishes which made this brunch worthwhile. The generous serving of the lobster meat is one of the biggest I have seen, which I really enjoyed the sweetness and freshness of the lobster.

The menu is split into Dim Sum, Soup, Appetisers, Seafood, Poultry, Beef and Pork, Vegetables, Rice and Noodles, Cantonese Favourites and Desserts. Are you ready for it?
Some of our favourites from the dim sum selection include theSteamed Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Caviar; Mushroom Dumplings, Truffle; and more.

From the seafood section, I enjoyed the Steamed Sea Perch Fillet, Fungus and Garlic and the Deep-fried Prawns, Wasabi, Mango, Fish Roe.

One of the limited order dishes which is apt for dessert is the Mini Egg Tart, Bird’s Nest.

Rants The price is admittedly quite steep for the dim sum brunch buffet.
Will I Return Again? If you are into weekend brunch in a relaxing setting with good food, the weekend dim sum brunch at Yan Ting is something you will want to try at least once.
