Previously specialising in Mediterranean-inspired fare, the new concept focuses on Italian cuisine where menu features a contemporary selection of antipasti, freshly-cooked pastas, succulent seafood, grilled meats, wood-fired pizzas and more. Other than an ala carte menu, indulge in a curated Menu Tentazioni (S$108++ per guest), showcasing a handpicked medley of 7 signature creations. Common Man Coffee Roasters Joo Chiat
Joo Chiat is getting exciting with new cafe openings and the latest to sprout here is Common Man Coffee Roasters Joo Chiat (CMCR JC). As one of the most established cafe brands in Singapore, the Joo Chiat outlet is a corner shophouse setting and I like how airy the space is, as the windows open out to the buzzing Joo Chiat Road, while a dedicated filter coffee brewing bar takes centrestage here as well. You can expect an extensive all-day breakfast and lunch menu (salads, burgers, sandwiches and mains), with highlights like the duo of Sourdough Pancakes exclusive to CMCR JC. [Read more here…]

Acoustics Coffee Bar
Previously located in Ang Moi Kio, Acoustics Coffee Bar recently opened along Neil Road and spots a cosy interior with mainly wood finishing and the ubiquitous rattan furniture. It is named Acoustics as it uses acoustic panels on their walls, which is supposed to reduce echo in the space and provide a more conducive dining environment. Expect Big Breakfast, Pancakes and their signature Laksa Cream Spaghetti.

Chez Suzette
A two-storey French inspired cafe which opened in Teck Lim Road few days ago, the charming space of Chez Suzette will not make it look out of place even if it is placed on Champs-Élysées. Their owner is ex-Joël Robuchon alumni, so you can expect certain finesse in their brunch offerings, such as the Toast Soldiers in Organic Eggs. If the weather is cool, it is nice to snag an outdoor table and pretend you are living the Parisian life.

Popular Sichuan-Western restaurant Birds Of A Feather located at Amoy Street spots a new menu, after a year long exploration and research by Executive Chef Eugene See. I love the Birds Avocado & Crab Bruschetta, a combination of Crab Tartare, Caviar, Brioche & Sichuan Avocado Guacamole. For the first time since it opened, Birds Of A Feather has also introduced communal large-portion dishes in its menu.
