Food Review: Feng Ji Kway Chap At Jalan Batu Hawker Centre | Delicious And Underrated Kway Chap Set From S$2.50!
The Place It took me this long to check out Blk 4A Jalan Batu Hawker Centre, a relatively low-key food centre near Fort Road, Tanjong Rhu and Mountbatten. Feng Ji Kway Chap is the reason I headed down, as I am keen to try this Kway Chap. The hawker centre is not big, and you won’t miss this stall as it had one of the longest queues when I visited on a Sunday morning.

The Food You can get a Kway Chap set at S$2.50, which is a steal in today’s context.

I had a mix of the Pig Skin, Braised Egg, Braised Pork Belly, Braised Tau Pok and Beancurd. It costs S$7 for 5 times for 2 pax, very reasonably priced. That includes 2 bowls of Kway as well!

I always start with the Kway. Delicious, smooth texture and the broth is luscious, there is also fried garlic added which adds to the flavour.

I also enjoyed the Braised Pork Belly, which is almost 50% fat and 50% lean meat. The pig skin is soft and flavourful as well.

Rants Be prepared to queue at least 20-30 minutes on weekends.
Will I Return Again? This stall is not one of the top rated Kway Chap by most food articles but I actually will return for it. It is very reasonably priced, and the flavour is simple yet very comforting.

That’s a good deal of Kway Chap over there.
Just wondering whether there is a version with crispy pork over there?
Kway Chap with crispy pork seems to be a big deal in Thailand.
