The Place If you have been a buffet lover, Edge at Pan Pacific Singapore is definitely one of those restaurants to bookmark. The award winning buffet line has recently re-launched its Sunday Champagne Brunch line, dubbed Theatrical Sunday Champagne Brunch. If I were to compare it to the previous edition, the experience could only be more overwhelming than before. If you do not like to rush through your food, we are glad that Edge’s Sunday Champagne Brunch continues its tradition of a four-hour long affair. It took me nearly thirty minutes merely from touring and capturing the enormous spread.

It is almost impossible to try every item at the buffet line once. Conservatively, I think I only managed to take a nibble of less than half of the offerings. Here are some of my top picks from the extensive buffet line:
The live grill station is a must try if you love your meats and sausages. Freshly-grilled a la minute, my favourite is the Ohmi Wagyu Striploin, grilled to tender texture. Do not miss out on the Herbed Halibut Fillet and Assorted Homemade Sausages too.
There is no lack of fresh seafood at Edge, and in particular, I was excited about the New Caviar Bar featuring caviar such as Avruga Caviar and Keta Caviar, which you can add to the seafood items like the Alaskan King Crabs, freshly shucked Oysters, Maine Lobsters, and Chilean Snow Crabs. I even added some caviar to my Eggs Benedict, talk about being luxe!
Share the calories of some of the pasta offerings if you want to try them all – the signature Duck Ravioli with Mushroom Ragout, Truffle Mac and Cheese, and the new Chilled Angel Hair Pasta with Caviar.
If you love your cheese, the Swiss Cheese Raclette station is at a rather inconspicuous corner of the buffet line (close to the live meat grill station). Watch the chef melt the cheese, before torching the cheese. This reminded me of the ones I had at the Christmas Markets in Switzerland. It would have been more authentic if some baked potatoes are served alongside the cheese.
Other than the usual fresh sashimi and sushi at the Japanese station, Edge has up the ante with the the live Tempura Mori station, with a wide range of crispy Tempura delights including Kisu Fish, Rock Shrimp, Mizuna and Yasai Kakiage.
A live egg station is essential for me in any Sunday Brunch buffet. You won’t want to miss ordering your eggs benedict, scrambled eggs or poached eggs at the egg station. My eggs benny was cooked to the perfect oozing yolk, nothing less from what you will get from a good café.
Other noteworthy highlights from the buffet include the Hay Smoked Whole Baby Lamb, signature Mongolian Suckling Pig, Whole Roasted Prime Ribs, Hazelnut Crusted Foie Gras with Raisin Puree, Jumbo Burger, Duck and Crayfish Satay, Nandu Crab Biryani, Crustacean Pot Pie and Nyonya Tau Yew Bak with Cili Cuca.
Asian Delights include Peranakan dishes such as Nyonya Tau Yew Bak with Cili Cuca, Nasi Kunyit Istimewa and KL Tai Lok Mee. At the Indian live food theatre, there is the Maharaja Lamb Chop from the Tandoor Oven Nandu Crab Biryani and Cottage Cheese 65, alongside with Satay flavours such as Duck and Crayfish Satays.
For desserts, there are over 20 sweet treats, ranging from pralines to cakes, and a la minute crepes to waffles. I was already quite overwhelmed when I finally got to desserts. I tried the new Matcha Waffle with Azuki Beans, though I thought the matcha flavour can be more intense. Other highlights here include the Soft Crepes with Caramelised Banana, Gluten-free Dark Chocolate Brownies topped with Roasted Walnuts, Durian Pengat, Yuzu Meringe Tartlets, Mini Canelé, Assorted Handmade Macarons and Kahlua Tiramisu.
If you love your champagne, go for the unlimited Veuve Clicquot Champagne , which also entitles you to enjoy booze from three cocktail bars featuring the specially concocted Passion Fruit Mojito, the new Sugarcane Rum, or some bubbly mix of Champagne Cocktail.
Rants Is too much food a valid rant? I confess that I probably only tried half the items on the buffet line.
Will I return again? If you love an insane amount of variety at buffets, Edge is a must try. The price is on the higher end, so make sure you do not have a small appetite or else I will suggest that you are better off at a cheaper buffet with a smaller spread.
